CONNIE DEMO!!!

 <date>5.12.2025</date>

Connie is "almost done" and I'm hoping to release it in 2026, so I had the though of "aaah what the heck, let's just make a short little demo RIGHT now". This demo contains 4 levels, 2 boss fights and some other extras as well! Get it from the Steam page or Itch.io.

If you encounter anything weird, crusty or glitchy in the game, don't hesitate to let me know via email, on bluesky or on the Steam forums I guess? I'll be sure to try and pay attention to every bit of feedback i get. Exciting!

It is once again September

 <date>1.9.2025</date>

This time I'm gonna do my september blog post on the first day, as I just released a new gameplay clip of Connie! Check it out over here! I don't wanna keep repeating myself and saying that progress is going well, but it's also the truth so there's really no other way of putting it. I'm very proud of Connie so far and can't wait to share it with people in due time. That being said tho I also wanna take my time with it and not rush things, so the best I can offer right now is to just tell you to stay tuned!

It's kinda crazy that Silksong is releasing in a few days. I won't be getting it at launch but it really is a legendary indie game release.

Today is also Rayman's 30th anniversary, which is pretty crazy to think about. I remember his 25th like yesterday as that's when I released Rayman Redemption. All of this just makes me think of the passing of time and how I really wanna get Connie done, but like I said I won't rush it! I'm already near the end so I'll keep up the same pace and enjoy the development process.

Art archive site update!

 <date>26.7.2025</date>

Today marks the longest streak of days in the history of Finland where the heat is about 30°C. I am melting and the heat really hinders my work on Connie. That's why I decided to take it easy for a bit and update my website!

I've been drawing a lot this year and have been sharing my work mainly on bluesky and tumblr, but I've been wanting a proper archive for my stuff for a while now. Especially after the new UK age verification bs that hit most social media platforms recently. Then I remembered I have my own website. 🫠
So, I spent the whole day making a new page for my art which you can find from the top bar inbetween Games and Streams.

I will be updating the page in batches, so if you wanna be the very first one to see my stuff I'd still recommend following me on bluesky as well.

Heyo. It's april fools. I released a new clip of Connie, you can watch it here! Progress with the game is going really well. If I keep this pace up all the main levels will be done by the end of the summer. Hopefully.

I'm still in my "dragon ball phase", I'm currently watching through DBZ Kai after watching the original series. From the original series my favourite saga is definitely the world martial arts tournament where Tien is featured. I also really enjoy Tao and am glad he was brought back near the end. Also, thanks to Fortnite, I started listening to a lot of vocaloid music and became a Hatsune Miku fan. I know I know, very original.

I almost forgot scoop kick's anniversary AGAIN! To celebrate I have released the endless arcade mode as a separate public beta branch you can access through steam. It's been a while since I touched the game and have updated game maker multiple times, so I was worried I could've accidentall broken something with the main game, hence why the beta branch approach.

Check it out and thanks for playing Scoop Kick!

New year!

 <date>31.12.2024</date>

Happy new year! 2024 was very packed for me. I felt like I got a lot done with my game projects and streams. With Connie I was able to finish approximately four worlds in a year, which means I might be done with all of them in 2025 as long as I keep the same pace up. Exciting! We also had many good streams this year with many memorable and fun moments.

I have decided to take a personal challenge next year. I really want to improve my art skills, so I got myself a big sketchbook and I'm going to draw something in it every single day. Maybe even learn some actual skills like perspective, shading and anatomy while at it. Will be interesting to see if I can keep it up!

Anyway, I had an overall good year. I hope everyone else had a good year as well. Here's to a good 2025!

Do you remember? Got the date correct this year.

I never would've guessed I'd become a Dragon Ball fan in 2024. I never had much of an opinion about the series, just though it looked "generic" and found the power creep and different forms silly. Well, yeah, the power creep is still silly, but once I got subjected to a little bit of DBZ in the form of a game, I got more and more interested. And that was the beginning of the end. 😭 Piccolo is the best.

In other news, I recently designed two completely new mascot characters for my streams: Rocket and Racket. Even though I liked the old ones as well, I wanted something *fresh*, something that I myself had designed. Expect to see more of them in the future, maybe even as cameos in my games.

Connie updates and other stuff

 <date>8.8.2024</date>

I've now released two little videos about Connie that give a glimpse to the first world of the game: here and here. I intend to keep this pace up and share videos every now and then. Development of the game is progressing smoothly and I feel like I've finally gotten into a proper rhythm since my service ended over a year ago. Do let me know what you think of the game so far! You can always shoot me an email or just leave a Youtube comment.

Ever since leaving Twitter and joining Bluesky, which is better but also smaller, I've noticed my "need" to post things online has diminished greatly. Since there's no longer "instant gratification" from likes and replies, consequently I don't post nearly as much anymore. It actually feels good to not constantly check social media lol. It just goes to show how addicting that stuff can get. So my advice to everyone is this: delete your Twitter account if you have one. 😄

To end things off, I recently finished watching The Owl House for the first time and boy let me tell ya, that show was absolutely amazing. I was already an og gravity falls fan from years back, but this show really spoke to me. Nowadays it's very rare for me to find a show, movie or any piece of media that makes me feel this pumped up. If you haven't seen the show yet, do yourself a favour and check it out. I can highly recommend it! 🦉

After 10 years I have finally made a sequel to my old meme fangame "Shrek Playtime is Ogre". This game turned out to be extremely difficult, but if you like nes-like old and tough platformers you might enjoy this one.

You can get the game from Gamejolt or Itch.io

NEW GAME REVEAL!

Say hello to Connie and the Essence of Chaos! This is my latest game project I've been working for quite a while. I first started planning this game in the winter of 2019 when I was working on the last bits of Rayman Redemption. Despite the project "starting" in 2020, I was only able to start full development in the summer of 2023 after my service was over and after I had finished Scoop Kick and Rayman Redesigner.

I will try to post updates semi-frequently, but at the same time I don't wanna stress about it as I'm working at my own pace. That being said though, Wishlist the game on steam and subscribe to me on Youtube so you wont miss updates when they happen!

Happy new year! 2023 was half bad and half good for me. I resumed my streams after my hiatus which was really exciting. I've also been able to start working on my next game more seriously again. Progress is faster than ever and I'm really happy with the results so far. I don't wanna jinx it, but I might be able to reveal the project to the world in 2024! Really exciting and scary.

I got back into collecting Gogo's Crazy Bones at the end of October. I've almost completed my Series 1 collection and I'm only missing 75 of the master set (as of writing this). I still want to make a dedicated section for my various collections on this website.

Return to The Spooky Raymansion

 <date>27. October 2023</date>

I was so sure I would never make another Spooky Raymansion game, but here we are. After the Unity situation, I was so motivated to try out Godot and since Halloween was just around the corner, there was only one game to make: The Spooky Raymansion 4. The ultimate finale to the series. I made this game in around two weeks, so let's hope it isn't totally unstable or broken. 😄

You can get the game from Gamejolt or Itch.io

Do you remember? The 21st night of September?

Today I decided to finally delete my Twitter account. The latest TOS changes were too much for me and I decided to bail. I think, "objectively", this is a bad choice, because I'm throwing away all the followers and reach I've amassed, but a least my consciousness will be clear. I will no longer contribute to Musk's machine of madness.

I also created a Mastodon account on the gamedev instance. I still don't quite know how the site works, but branching out is never bad, right? Follow me there if you'd like.

I keep talking about it, but I also really need to overhaul this website so it would be easier for me to post updates.

I've been thinking about making an RSS feed for the news page, which would make posting updates easier for me. Does anyone even use those anymore though?

I'm still working on my next unannounced game, and I'd say progress is going stronger than ever. Still not quite ready to show it off.

I recently bought myself a 3D printer, Ender 3 S1 Pro, to be exact. I've been printing some funny figurines. Now I also understand why miniature painting is such a popular hobby.

Hello everyone! Today marks the day I have launched my very own website. My plan is to use this site as a hub of sorts for all the things I make. The site is still work in progress. I'm not quite happy with how it scales on mobile displays, for example, but it is good enough to go live! One of the things I'm planning is to create individual info pages for each of my games, but for now their buttons lead to their store-pages outside of this website. Bookmark this site if you're interested and don't forget to check in every now and then for updates!
